About The Position
We are seeking a creative and skilled Graphic Designer and Social Media Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design, social media management, and content creation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating their skills.
Education
- Minimum one-year post-secondary education in marketing, graphic design, communications, or equivalent experience
Experience
- Proficiency in graphic design and social media platforms
- Portfolio showcasing content creation, branding, and visual storytelling
- Experience in print and digital media design, including brochures, mail-outs, and email campaigns
- International experience and cross-cultural communication skills are assets but not required
Scope of Work
- Create visually appealing graphics, brochures, posters, and digital media adhering to brand standards
- Develop and implement social media strategies with engaging visual content
- Manage social media platforms, schedule posts, and engage with online audiences
- Analyze social media and marketing metrics to optimize content strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding
Key Responsibilities
- Research design and marketing trends to improve brand identity
- Create infographics, promotional materials, and visual assets for campaigns
- Design and write engaging email content and marketing materials
- Oversee print production of brochures, reports, and direct mail pieces
- Manage social media branding, including templates and post designs
- Stay updated on design best practices, typography, and layout trends
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in developing fundraising and awareness campaigns
- Participate in marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Engage in training and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to general ministry tasks as needed
Skills Required
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Data analysis skills to derive insights from metrics
- Knowledge of SEO and content optimization strategies
