Job description

Alcohol Recovery Operator (Recycling Facility)

Hamilton, ON Full-time $18.63 / hour

What will you do?
  • Receive, handle, test, and store safe substances (alcohol-based liquids);
  • Monitor Ethanol production;
  • Manage wastewater treatment;
  • Control and prevent spills;
  • Load and unload safe liquid tanker trucks;
  • Monitor and maintain systems and equipment, including boilers and cooling towers;
  • Perform data entry and clerical duties;
What will you bring?
  • Experience with process operation using DCS control in liquids; willing to train if necessary;
  • Mechanical ability, demonstrated through past performance and certifications in power engineering, HVAC, electrical, or maintenance (e.g., mechanic, millwright) preferred;
  • Knowledge of pumps, boilers, peripheral equipment, and pumping theory and dynamics;
  • Numerical accuracy;
  • Safety-consciousness;
  • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy objects;
  • Willingness to work shifts (continental) and independently;
  • Basic understanding of chemistry.
