Position Overview

As the Financial Analyst, you will be an essential part of the Corporate Services team, responsible for providing expense reporting for projects and overhead, month-end and year-end closing duties, managing accounts payable, and providing financial and administrative support. Your role involves managing and processing C-CORE’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies. You will also assist with financial data analysis and reporting, supporting forecasting and financial modelling, and contributing to insights into the company's financial performance.

You will:

• Complete monthly reporting and reconciliations for various accounts, investigate discrepancies and prepare adjusting journal entries
• Provide data and reports to assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
• Aid in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• Develop and generate financial reports, including variance reports and KPI dashboards.
• Provide reports to monitor cost and revenue trends in projects and operational teams
• Review, verify, and process invoices from suppliers, vendors, and contractors and prepare associated journal entries.
• Update and reconcile accounts payable subledger and other accounts payables duties
• Utilize financial management software and tools for data modeling, reporting, and analysis.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, including accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role, ideally in a project-based environment, with a focus on accounts payable or similar financial tasks.
• Experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and ledger maintenance.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software tools.
• Experience with financial data analysis (e.g., analyzing financial statements, financial reporting, and variance analysis).
• Financial modeling proficiency with forecasting and scenario analysis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional understanding of fundamental accounting principles and the accounts payable process.
• Knowledge of common accounting and ERP software.
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and Excel skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, maintain confidentiality, and work under pressure.
• Ability to efficiently maintain data and adapt to a dynamic environment.
