Job Title : Senior Advisor, Project Risk Management

Location : Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 3 days / week onsite)

Contract Duration : April 14, 2025 – April 13, 2026

Schedule : 37.5 hours / week

The Client is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor in Project Risk Management to support its Project Management Office across a portfolio of large-scale infrastructure, construction, and rail transportation projects. This is not a Project Manager or PCO role — we are looking for a true Risk Management expert to lead efforts in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks from inception through to completion.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and assess risks across all phases of construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce impact on scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Lead risk reporting, governance updates, and stakeholder communication.
  • Evolve and improve the risk management framework, tools, and training materials.
  • Act as the go-to subject matter expert and champion a culture of proactive risk management.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, suppliers, and contractors across Canada.

What You Bring

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable) :

  • Strong background in construction of buildings , major renovations , and railway infrastructure projects .
  • Hands-on experience in managing risks tied to physical infrastructure assets .
  • Expertise with Monte Carlo simulation for risk analysis.
  • University degree in Project Management, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years in risk or project management, especially within large-scale capital programs.
  • Familiarity with risk management standards (PMI, ISO 31000, AACE), and tools such as ARM, Primavera Risk Analysis, or Safran.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Dynamics skills.

Soft Skills :

  • Sharp analytical thinking with a systemic approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills.

Language Requirement :

Must be proficient in English , as the role involves frequent collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.
