This presents a unique opportunity for a 3+ year Family Lawyer with some Estate experience, looking to deepen their expertise and accelerate their path to partnership.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with potential clients to assess fit through active listening, fact gathering, and document review.
• Manage a broad range of complex family law files, including separation agreements, asset and debt division, and support issues, from initial meeting to case closure.
• Build strong client relationships by guiding them toward outcomes, keeping them informed, and preparing them for subsequent steps.
• Prepare cases strategically, utilizing effective ADR and legal procedures under BC Family Law.
• Develop trial strategies and handle litigation when ADR is ineffective or unsuitable.

Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of experience as a Family or Estate Lawyer in BC, managing both simple and complex files.
• Some estate law experience is an asset.
• Experience in litigation with a focus on settlement and expertise in ADR.
• Proficiency with legal software; experience with LEAP is a definite asset.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple files effectively.
• Ability to work both in-office and remotely as needed.
