Functioning as the curator of PRPA's digital asset portfolio required to develop supporting business and supply chain visibility, resulting in optimization of existing capacity within the gateway, ultimately supporting future infrastructure investments.
MAJOR POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensuring that PRPA's Digital Business goals are directly linked to corporate objectives within the context and detailed understanding of the growth and development of the gateway over the next decade.
- Providing a central point of accountability on the accuracy and timeliness of PRPA's digital business assets for the IT & Digital Business team.
- Managing and modifying the Digital Business technical strategy congruent with gateway development objectives and the changing landscape of accessible digital assets.
- Measure and analyse the performance and effectiveness of PRPA's efforts across all lines of business and activities.
- Enabling IT solutions supporting efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of PRPA's enterprise.
- Coach and mentor the Digital Business team to drive innovative and new ways of using data to paint a picture of PRPA's that resonates with both internal and external stakeholders.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Works predominantly in an office environment
- Regular, full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
- Regular working hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 1-hour lunch break
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Formal Education
- Undergraduate Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology or Engineering.
- Microsoft Database Administrator Certification, or equivalent Certification
Related Experience
- 5 to 7 years related experience at a technology leadership level
- Knowledgeable with regulation, administration, and securing confidential data
Other Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good leadership skills
- Strong consultation, facilitation, and coaching skills
- Demonstrable experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications, including SSRS, SSAS, Power BI Pro, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
- Strong statistical and empirical analytical skills
- Strong ability to organize and present data in support of decision making
- Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry is an asset
- Experience with optimization modelling and decision support tools is an asset
- Experience with contract and project management is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to effectively handle changing priorities
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated. Works well individually as well as in a team environment.

- Able to obtain security clearance under Transport Canada's Security Clearance Program
The starting base salary range for this role is $125,450 - $156,813.
