Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

Environment Management

  1. Leadership: Work with Technology leads to ensure new environments delivered on time and fit for purpose with appropriate integration and control framework.

  2. Control: Ensure environments are available during in-house and external testing. Be willing to question timescales and approach.

  3. Monitoring: Monitor performance of environments and ensure monitoring in place to highlight issues.

  4. Improvement: Ensure that environment delivery, control, and monitoring improve over time.

  5. Triaging: Possess the ability to troubleshoot issues and co-ordinate with other teams to resolve.

Release Management

  1. Planning: Produce and maintain environment and release plans.

  2. Reporting: Produce complete, timely, and accurate release and environment status reports (Code lines, patches, environments, defects, enhancements, infra upgrades).

  3. Agile: Have the ability to facilitate release management under an Agile framework.

Basic Skill Level Requirements

Education:

  1. University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  1. 1 to 5 years’ experience in release management/technical analyst roles.

Skills and Tools:

  1. Working knowledge in SQL (must-have) – Oracle/Sybase.

  2. Working knowledge in MQ.

  3. Experience with Monitoring tools - Geneos, AWS, Splunk, and Datadog.

  4. Basic understanding of firewalls and networks.

  5. Understanding of Incident and Change Management, ITIL Framework is highly desirable.

  6. Knowledge in Release Management, Change Management, and ITSM.

  7. Knowledge in Jira, Confluence.

  8. Previous experience of working in Corporate Actions/Trade Settlement product is advantageous.
