Full-Time, Term Contract

As the Café Lead Attendant, you will "Take Care of Banff" by leading and delivering food and beverage services at the café located in The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. This small café requires involvement in all aspects of operation, including food prep, bar service, and customer interaction. You'll work both front and back of house, serving facility rental clients and community members at hockey tournaments, curling bonspiels, and special events.

  • Welcoming customers and answering questions about menu items positively and friendly.
  • Taking and processing orders on the Point-of-Sale system, including payments.
  • Prepping, cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking work and dining areas, and managing waste.
  • Assisting with food and beverage prep, including seasoning, measuring, packaging, boiling, cutting, chopping, and dish preparation.
  • Dispensing and mixing beverages, cleaning bar areas and equipment, preparing the bar, taking beverage orders, and serving drinks.
  • Managing inventory through counts, ordering, labeling, and reporting low stock levels.

This position is based on 28 hours per week, primarily evenings and weekends. It is a temporary role starting immediately and ending on June 1, 2025.
