We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & HRIS Specialist to join our team. The Payroll & HRIS Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, this role will serve as a subject matter expert for our HR and payroll software, Push Operations, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Payroll Processing
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related data.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Internal Customer Service to Team on all payroll related matters
- Assist in the preparation of year-end reports, including T4s and other tax-related documents.
- Assist with full cycle accounting, including preparation of regular source deductions and remittances.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and systems.
- Creation and distribution of applicable reports and analytics
3. Human Resources & Payroll System Coordination (Push Operations)
- In partnership with HR team, you will coordinate and manage the HR & Payroll software program, Push Operations, ensuring all employee information is up-to-date and the system is functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate and efficient processing of new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Provide training and support to employees and managers on the use of Push Operations software.
- Create training documents and advise and processes / policies
Qualifications :
- Post Secondary Education in Business Administration and / or Accounting
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
- Experience in similar industry an asset
- Experience with Push Operation an asset
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using HR & Payroll software programs, with specific experience in Push Operations highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Job Type : Regular
Base Compensation :
- 55,000 - $65,000 annually (Range based on experience)
