As a Corrosion Under Insulation Engineer, you will ensure that work completed in the field is compliant with established scopes of work and contracts. Your goal will be to ensure the integrity and longevity of assets by implementing effective anti-corrosion and insulation measures. Your success will be to assist with field oversite and support activities for your area of responsibility as well communicate progress back to the project team.

Your Responsibilities
- Prepare Scope of Work package for surface preparation, coating, and insulation system with the assistance from the CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) Specialist/Inspector for competitive bidding, and participate in bidding reviews
- Provides technical supervision of maintenance and construction field activities; Support Construction and Field Engineering in response to Field Change Notices (FCNs) and Request for Information (RFIs) from contractors
- Support the design and installation of temporary engineered repairs on CUI finds. Provide recommendations and issue engineering work orders (EWOs) for execution of repairs including Management of Change (MOC)
- Update drawings (e.g., P&IDs, isometrics) and other project documentations
- Participate in core team meetings and support program development activities
- Assists in developing standards, specifications, schedules, programs and procedures for CUI related initiatives
- Participate in refinery on-call rotation
Your Skills
- Strong analytical skills; you enjoy getting to the root cause of issues and creating plans to address them
- Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS office applications
Your Experience
- Mechanical Engineer/EIT
- Field related experience with fixed equipment and piping would be an asset
- Understanding or experience with Maintenance Engineering and Asset Integrity would be preferred
- Experience with coating and insulation technologies, materials, designs, etc. would be an asset
- Experience with ASME and API codes and standards would be an asset
- Experience with management of change processes would be an asset
