Responsibilities Tasks

• Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
• Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
• Provide professional customer service
• Accept payment or invoices for items delivered
• Sell products over established routes
• Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products
• Keep records of items received and delivered
• Prepare, package, and restock goods
• Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies
• Load and unload goods
• Sort packages for delivery
• Follow directions and read maps
• Use maps and other trip planning aids
• Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
• Handle payments for goods
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
