A leading company in the steel industry is seeking an Automation Engineer to enhance machinery reliability and efficiency. The role involves overseeing design and troubleshooting of control systems, collaborating with maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilizing independent judgment, this position will oversee the design, programming, simulation, and testing of automated machinery and processes to enhance reliability and efficiencies. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, and bend. Must be able to use hand and fingers, reach with arms and hands, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Work frequently in extreme weather, exposed to airborne particles, fumes, with a moderately loud noise level.
Preferred BSEE or BSEET or equivalent industrial experience and education. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in electrical/electronic repair and automation.
