Location: Downtown Toronto – 2 days onsite

Contract Type: Full-time Contract

Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)

Role Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise IT Architect to lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies and technical standards across the organization. This role is instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring system reliability, and aligning IT initiatives with broader organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, modern web application development, and the Microsoft 365 platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of enterprise architecture strategies, principles, and technical standards
• Design and implement IT Asset Management models, including lifecycle and governance frameworks
• Conduct industry and technical research to inform strategic IT direction and innovation
• Manage architectural governance and audit IT projects for compliance with standards
• Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for IT platforms and domains
• Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives for critical and emerging technologies
• Provide technical leadership in solution design, project delivery, and incident management
• Develop and enforce enterprise-wide architectural policies, standards, and procedures
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of solutions with business goals

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience in IT Architecture across at least two of the following:
• Technical or Solution Architecture
• Custom Solutions/Application Development
• Cloud Architecture
• Microsoft Ecosystem Architecture
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in cloud-based infrastructure (Azure ), including Azure Entra ID, DevOps, and deployment best practices
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform), with experience creating governance models
• Background in modern web application development, including APIs; experience with Liferay is an asset
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure components (servers, virtualization, storage, networks) and databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience defining and enforcing architectural standards across platforms and development efforts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, accountability, and customer-centric solutions
