Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for the position of Regional Warehouse and Transportation Manager based out of our Distribution Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Distribution and the Senior Director of Fleet Service, this position will be responsible for maintaining and developing systems, processes, and procedures for the operation and management of the Distribution Center, Line-Haul, and In-Home Delivery Team, Human Resources, Equipment, and Inventory in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

The successful candidate will also promote and foster an environment that ensures seamless integration and communication between the Distribution Center, Inventory Management, Corporate Departments, and Retail Locations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, administer, and be accountable for the annual operating budget.
  • Manage the growth and success of over 35 employees and a management team of 5+ managers and supervisors.
  • Implement and oversee controls to meet or exceed service and operational performance levels.
  • Ensure talent management objectives are achieved through performance management, talent reviews, and development planning.
  • Adhere to health and safety, material handling, and security policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure daily operations comply with government standards for safety, maintenance, transportation, and other regulations.
  • Support quality control programs, including auditing, compliance, and training.
  • Improve processes and procedures to maximize productivity, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Maintain all facility resources (staff, equipment, storage).
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a Distribution or Logistics environment.
  • Extensive experience with a large Warehouse Management System (WMS) in an inventory-controlled environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial review.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of materials handling equipment and safety techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
