About the Role:

We seek motivated, self-driven technical analysts to join our virtual Security Operations Center, focusing on detecting and responding to security incidents in real-time. This position is limited to candidates in the Toronto, ON area.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Enjoys applying hands-on technical skills in incident detection, containment, and remediation
  • Self-motivated with a desire to rapidly develop skills
  • Interested in meaningful, innovative work that impacts customers
  • Possesses a background in Incident Response or Information Security
  • Capable of team leadership and effective customer interaction
  • Enjoys working with knowledgeable peers for mutual learning and mentorship

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incidents across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
  • Perform basic malware analysis
  • Improve incident detection and countermeasure processes
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to management
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership via blogs, CrowdCasts, and speaking engagements

Requirements:

  • Experience in incident handling, forensic analysis, systems administration, network analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network architecture, or scripting (C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET)
  • Ability to work independently on technical tasks
  • Willingness to work a 4x10 schedule, including weekends
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • Background checks will be conducted during hiring

Education:

BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Security, or related fields. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
