Position Overview:

As a Utility Arborist, you will apply your skills for our utility clients, supporting multiple service points across various contracts to meet and exceed client expectations.

Pay Rate:

$39.94 - $44.33 per hour

Job Duties:

1. Provide line clearing and tree trimming services for electric utility providers and rail customers.
2. Operate as part of a crew, supporting ground crew and crew leader.
3. Perform tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully.
4. Prune, thin, and remove deadwood in trees.
5. Remove hazardous trees.
6. Trim or remove trees and brush encroaching on utility or transportation rights of way.
7. Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
8. Set up and clean up job sites.
9. Follow safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certified Arborist or Utility Tree Trimmer designation required.
• Line clearance certification.
• Experience in electric utility tree trimming and climbing preferred.
• Ability to safely ascend tree canopies at various heights.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Strong identification skills for trees and shrubs.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license; licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle with air brake endorsement is an asset.
• Teamwork skills and willingness to learn and grow.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping preferred.
• First Aid certification preferred.
