Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting water quality assessments, sampling, and treatment process evaluations
  • Support the design and implementation of water treatment solutions, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical treatment processes
  • Analyze water quality data and assist in preparing technical reports with findings and recommendations
  • Contribute to pilot testing and performance evaluations of water treatment technologies
  • Help develop monitoring programs to ensure compliance with water quality regulations
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts, including data collection and permit applications
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory updates
  • Participate in site visits, fieldwork, and client meetings to support project objectives
  • Assist senior staff in responding to client inquiries and developing technical solutions
  • Help prepare presentations, proposals, and other project-related documents
  • Work closely with engineers, scientists, and other specialists on project teams
  • Seek mentorship and training opportunities to expand technical knowledge
  • Engage in professional development activities, including industry conferences and certifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
  • 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training certification
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
