About the Court Services Division
The Ministry of the Attorney General is responsible for the fair, accessible, and efficient delivery of justice services to Ontarians. Court Services Division manages more than 170 court offices in communities across the province providing criminal, civil and family courts and related justice services that are efficient and effective. The Court Services Division is committed to a diverse, respectful and professional workplace that reflects OPS values.
Please note: This dynamic frontline essential role thrives on your physical presence at the office. The Manager of Court Operations is expected to be on site 5 days a week. The position may require infrequent travel to other locations as needed. This position may be used to fill future vacancies.

Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of their business goals. As the Manager, Court Operations, you will,
• Be a proactive and innovative leader, motivating your team and colleagues across government to deliver exceptional results in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
• Empower your team of staff to grow and develop to their full potential, fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and excellence.
• Manage multiple large-scale projects to implement new programs and services across the division.
• Represent the ministry on local/ area committees comprising representatives from stakeholder groups to discuss and resolve service needs.
• Lead local or regional change management, strategic and modernization initiatives, and evaluating the change process to identify impacts and additional implementation requirements.
• Manage the administration and operation of court offices by establishing objectives, priorities, standards of performance and controls consistent with regional and divisional plans and standards.

• You have experience managing financial resources and reporting, developing the multi-year budget and resource plans.
Relationship Management and Communication Skills:
• You are known for developing and sustaining strong staff, client and stakeholder relationships.
• You have demonstrated success in identifying and managing contentious issues and determining resolutions through consultation and negotiation.
• You are a skilled communicator with experience translating ideas into business cases, operational plans, reports and presentations.
• You can provide leadership within the local community, develop collaborative working relationships and promote stakeholder support for court reform initiatives.
Technical Skills:
• You have knowledge of human resources theories, principles, policies and collective agreements to develop organizational capacity which includes succession planning, performance management, talent management, organization and job design and labour relations management.
• You can interpret and apply legislation pertaining to court operations.
Strategic Thinking and Change Management:
• You demonstrate strategic planning skills to contribute to policy development.
• You can evaluate program issues, determine the scope of analysis to support business improvement, and identify risks and impacts on priorities.
• You demonstrate the ability to lead regional change management, strategic and modernization initiatives, and oversee ministry strategic plans for court services.
