Position Overview

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement in quality and safety is inherent in this position.

Reporting and Supervision

This position reports to the Manager or Designate and works under the clinical direction of the Electrodiagnostic Services (EDS) Supervisor or designate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing and equipment maintenance.
2. Provide test information to appropriate medical staff for interpretation.
3. Ensure equipment functionality and maintain supply inventory at appropriate levels.
4. Perform related duties such as booking patient appointments, maintaining records, and keeping statistics as required.

Qualifications

Grade 12 plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
