We seek a team-oriented and communicative professional with strong relationship-building skills, interested in technical financial accounting in the public sector. The role involves engaging with various departments and professionals to facilitate solutions.
The Financial Accountant will provide expert advice on complex corporate accounting issues, ensuring compliance with Canadian public sector standards. The position reports to the Director, Financial Accounting.
Applicants must hold a professional accounting designation (CPA – CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent, with 3-4 years of relevant experience. Skills include strong technical knowledge of public sector accounting standards, experience with tangible capital assets, financial statement preparation, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Knowledge of SAP, asset accounting, and government financial reporting processes is an asset. Ability to travel occasionally is required.

Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,760.89 - $4,701.11 bi-weekly
