Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour based on previous experience and education.

Job Description

  • Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Provide direction to lower levelled Cooks as assigned.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree and 2 years of cooking experience OR 5 years of related cooking experience
  • Experience and proficiency in both a la carte and production cooking
  • Valid food handler certificate
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
