THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT Washington EL06 License

Job Summary:

The Journeyman will act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The main task will be to ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Lead major project crews, ensure effective performance, provide training, and uphold safety and quality guidelines. Conduct weekly safety meetings and communicate performance issues to the Project Manager.
  2. Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure productivity, timely completion, and adherence to the project budget.
  3. Complete all project paperwork accurately and promptly, including timesheets, work orders, change orders, and material transfers.
  4. Perform quality checks, coordinate moves and cross connects, and prepare as-built drawings.
  5. Act as the main on-site contact for customer questions and attend necessary meetings.
  6. Demonstrate technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems.
  7. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Tools:
  • Screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves, punch tools, crimp tools, Krone/3M/BIX tools, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, continuity tester.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Self-motivated, positive, professional, and capable of improving project processes.
  • Promote company culture and mission.
  • Interface effectively with customers.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize signals.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Education and Certification Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Washington EL06 License.
  • Minimum six months supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with listed tools and ability to interpret blueprints and documents.
  • Knowledge of universal communication codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Meet company driving standards.
