Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy

The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager by assisting in gathering, distributing, and organizing information related to estimating, project setup, proposal submissions, reporting, safety, profitability, and costing. At this level, the Project Coordinator will focus on internal team contributions.

A Day in The Life

Safety

  • Adhere to all SECURE safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Safety Department.
  • Assist in project documentation filing and preparation.
  • Participate in, arrange, and lead safety meetings.

Estimating and Bidding

  • Assist in preparing parametric estimates in Hard Dollar.
  • Review bidding processes by reading tender/contract documents to understand scope and specifications.
  • Conduct take-offs from drawings/blueprints and incorporate into Hard Dollar.
  • Coordinate with Procurement for third-party quotes and include them in estimates.
  • Work with Legal, Credit, Finance, and EHS to ensure bids and project setups comply with SECURE policies.

Scheduling and Planning

  • Support scheduling and planning activities.
  • Handle administrative functions like documenting site activities and creating start-up sheets using Microsoft Project.
  • Make site visits to understand scope, if not already onsite.
  • Supervise onsite personnel as needed.

Reporting and Cost Tracking

  • Assist with managing Fieldsafe & Kronos for project costs and employee tracking.
  • Review and enter daily timesheets.
  • Track labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs regularly with the Project Manager.
  • Help prepare progress invoices and status reports.
  • Assist with project closure tasks.
  • Maintain onsite project tracking binders.
  • Set up projects in internal systems based on Project Manager inputs.
  • Enter project costs daily, including labor, equipment, and third-party expenses.
  • Help with project expense documentation, including scanning receipts and ensuring accurate cost mapping.
  • Complete project uploads and ensure costs are recorded correctly.
  • Identify risks related to contracts and site conditions and communicate mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in risk identification of third-party contractors via ISNetworld.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Recent college diploma or degree, preferably in Environmental or Engineering fields.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Lead by example and positively influence SECURE’s safety culture.
  • Ability to work with multiple project teams and manage various contracts.
  • Thrives in a fast-changing, detail-oriented environment with a strong commitment to follow-through.
