Manager, Competitive Analysis- Global Asset Management Finance

The Manager, Global Wealth Competitive Analysis, will work closely with Global Wealth Management Finance teams across the Bank, providing competitive benchmarking and relative performance. The Global Wealth Competitive team provides their expertise around planning, forecasting and reporting processes, as well as providing guidance and leadership. Contributes to the overall success of Global Wealth Management ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Competitive benchmarking and relative performance

• Support and provide Global Wealth Management, International Wealth Management and Global Finance leadership coverage of competitor trends, peer strategic financial reviews, financial analysis and macro/industry trends

• Assist with developing various financial models & projections to support strategic projects and Global Wealth Management forecast

• Ensure precision, timeliness, and integrity of financial results through effective management of Business reviews

• Act as a trusted business partner and work closely with several finance teams and International Business teams, not limited but including product and business groups, Investor Relations and Global Finance

• Develop and implement Business line KPI reporting processes, encompassing Customer Primacy, Partnership, Channel, and Staffing

P&L and Finance Support

• Develop and implement Business line P&L models integrating macroeconomic factors, product and profitability metrics and leveraging strategic insights

• Coordinate Forecast and Business Plan processes across financial and non-financial KPIs

• Support Country and Business line leaders on financial projections and alignment across internal partners and targets

• Conduct monthly review meetings and financial summaries with Business Lines and leadership

Strategic and Business Case support

• Develop and implement Business Cases integrating macroeconomic drivers, product profitability metrics and strategic insights to establish creditable 5-year financial forecasts

• Maintain and conduct external fact-based research and consulting engagements

• Support overall Bank and Business strategy, including integration of divestitures, newly acquired entities in existing reporting, forecasting and plan processes

• Identify and capture material opportunities based on performance analysis of the business lines

Other

• Support other ongoing Finance and International Wealth Management initiatives, including but not limited to: Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST), Global Wealth Management Competitive Analysis, peer relative performance, Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives, operational efficiencies and any other finance-related inquiries as formulated by Senior Management and Sales Management Groups

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

• CFA or MBA and/or Accounting Designation preferred

• 8 years’ work experience in financial industry, experience in Research, Strategy, Investment Banking and or Wealth Business lines

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with senior level management

• Material knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Institutions industry and their products/businesses

• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products

• Built complex dynamic financial models to analyze investment opportunities and project future earnings

• Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning & Forecasting and PeopleSoft

• Fluency in Spanish an asset
