A leading healthcare provider is offering a full-time training opportunity for Registered Nurses to prepare for work in a specialty department. Successful candidates will receive practical training and be placed in a full-time rotation within the department. This role emphasizes patient and staff safety, requiring effective communication and organizational skills.
This position offers a regular full-time training opportunity (theory and practicum) to prepare staff for work in a specified Island Health specialty department. Upon successful completion, staff will be placed into a full-time rotation within the department they trained for.
There is an 18-month return of service requirement as a permanent employee within the Island Health specialty department. Staff may transfer between departments within the same specialty. Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in hospital or community settings, following the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice.
