We're hiring a Risk Analyst – Intermediate Trade Support Analyst | Based in Montreal (Hybrid)

Overview :

The team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and accurate processing of equity derivatives transactions, in close collaboration with front office and various support functions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both daily operations and ongoing process improvements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Enter and maintain equity derivatives transactions (including swaps on single stocks, indices, and options) within internal systems, under delegation from front office teams.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of booking data.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks identified by middle office controls or other stakeholders.
  • Manage front office positions by anticipating lifecycle events and escalating discrepancies when needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the front office and other support units (middle office, back office, risk, finance, etc.) to address requests and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including :
  • Enhancing the operational control framework.
  • Supporting the analysis and implementation of new business activities.
  • Assisting in the development and optimization of tools (VBA / Python) for booking, pricing, and internal communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or financial markets.
  • Initial experience in financial markets, with a good understanding of products and operational workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA; familiarity with financial mathematics.
  • Professional fluency in both English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive, solution-driven, and capable of working under tight deadlines.

Language Requirement :

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders across North America.
