Job Opportunity: Fabric Maintenance Lead at Aker Solutions

Our Project team is seeking a Fabric Maintenance Lead to join our team based in St. John's, with occasional business trips to Ingleside, TX, and offshore Newfoundland for project scope execution.

What will you be doing?
  1. Providing guidance and technical support to onshore Construction Coordinators during planning and offshore scope preparations.
  2. Supporting daily project activities, interfacing with internal departments, offshore teams, and clients.
  3. Contributing discipline-specific input into project estimates and engineering studies.
  4. Ensuring project deliverables are planned and completed according to the construction schedule.
  5. Reviewing and approving project deliverables focusing on technical completeness, constructability, quality, and HSSE standards.
  6. Providing daily technical support during offshore execution of work scopes.
  7. Participating in project reviews such as constructability and offshore readiness assessments.
  8. Managing progress reporting and timesheet approvals for offshore activities.
  9. Supporting planning updates for offshore construction plans and schedules.
  10. Assessing offshore discipline resource requirements, including mobilization of personnel, materials, and equipment.
  11. Managing scope changes and deviations in accordance with change management procedures.
  12. Ensuring adherence to procedures, processes, and specifications during planning and execution.
  13. Traveling offshore as needed for installation, hookup, and commissioning activities.
  14. Participating in performance management for onshore and offshore resources.
  15. Collaborating with other groups requiring discipline support, such as operations and maintenance teams.
What we think you should have:
  • Technical Diploma or Trade Certification
  • At least 10 years of experience in coordination, planning, and execution of maintenance and modification activities
  • Ability to interpret and decide on methods and techniques for discipline activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in project jurisdiction
  • Experience working on project sites and coordinating with disciplines
  • Experience in offshore or shutdown environments is advantageous
  • Successful completion of offshore medical and regulatory training for Newfoundland
