Job description

We are RPS Hawk, a leading poultry services company.

  • Title of position: Foreman, Chicken and Turkey Catching (NOC 8252)

Salary: Hourly - $22.50/hour for 40 hours per week OR piecework (whichever is greater). Overtime offered.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Experience: Previous experience in poultry supervision would be an asset; however, candidates with 12-24 months of current or recent poultry experience would be considered.

Type of Farm Operations: Poultry Chicken and Turkey catching

Specific Skills: Duties include organizing and driving crews to the farm, setting up barns for poultry catching, detecting disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Operate and maintain poultry-related machinery and equipment. Follow food safety and security and animal bio-security procedures and other poultry-related tasks. Clean and disinfect the work site, including poultry-related equipment. Removing equipment after the work is completed, and other poultry-related tasks. Supervisor expected to liaise directly with employees and employer, identify potential issues, select course of action, in coordination with the employer.

Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Company transportation van provided for work.

Other Information: Job will require you to travel to other farm locations at employer's expense. Job may require extensive travel on a daily basis within the Province/Region.
