Position Summary...

A Student/Intern Optician assists in providing the store with expertise on the ordering and dispensing of quality eyewear under the guidance of a Licensed Optician, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the 3 Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart. The Student Optician must be currently enrolled in the licensing program in the province of employment.

What you'll do...

1. Develop the optical business through executing programs and promoting the Walmart brand.
2. Build collaborative relationships with optometrists and other healthcare providers in Walmart and within the community.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure an excellent customer experience.
4. Attend and complete all required courses and successfully meet all licensing requirements within their province of practice within the timeframe set by the District Manager for professional services.
5. Carry out other delegated tasks within regulatory frameworks.
6. Practice within the regulatory environment of their region.
