About Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Python Developer to join our innovative team. As a forward-thinking company that continually improves the financial lives of our customers, we aim to develop cutting-edge financial and business tools. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of millions of users globally.

• Role: Junior Python Developer
• Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (3 days a week Onsite)
• Experience: 2+ Years
• Job Type: Full Time Employment

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with experienced developers and product managers to write, debug, and deploy software solutions
• Design and implement robust applications using Python and relevant frameworks and tools
• Utilize APIs for integration with different internal and external systems
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the codebase by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues across multiple environments and operating platforms

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and web services
• Understanding of cross functioal technologies
• Knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL) and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Strong grasp of software development best practices and Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• Familiarity with financial software or secure transaction processing systems
• Previous internship or project experience in a Software Development role

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
