Reports to: Team Lead or Engineering Manager

Based at: Regional Office

Position Purpose: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to support project execution, contribute to technical capabilities, and ensure quality, while providing excellent customer service to internal and external partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing reports that require minimal editing.
  • Coordinating with Service Lines and relaying relevant information for complex problems.
  • Maintaining knowledge of building codes.
  • Assisting with fee proposals by assessing time budgets.
  • Operating independently on routine projects.
  • Reviewing and assisting with complex mechanical system drawings.
  • Completing project phases within budgeted timeframes.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to junior team members, including reviewing drawings and ensuring standards.
  • Contributing to quality control improvements.
  • Sharing expertise across offices.
  • Preparing technical designs for HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and fuel systems.
  • Selecting equipment and resolving construction conflicts and technical issues.
  • Conducting site reviews and writing reports.
  • Upholding WE Purpose and Core Values.
  • Adhering to company and safety policies.
  • Applying for a Federal security clearance if needed for institutional projects.

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 year technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Technology.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Possibly working towards C.E.T. and R.E.T. designations.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication.
  • Proficiency in WE systems, MS Office 365, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Revit MEP.
  • Knowledge of budgets and risk management.
  • Innovative approach to mechanical systems engineering.
  • Ability to apply codes and regulations accurately.
  • Coordination skills across service lines for complex projects.
