Additional Information
  1. Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified prior to the start date.
  2. External candidates will need to provide at least three professional references, including full name, position, organization, and email, in the online application. References are not contacted before practicum/interview.
  3. Internal applicants should include all previous teaching experiences and two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
  4. All applicants must provide a satisfactory police record check, specifically a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) completed within the last six months, based on their home address in Canada. PVSCs that name other Ontario employers are also acceptable.
Referees
  • Principal/Vice-Principal who supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice.
  • Faculty or Practicum Advisor who observed and evaluated your teaching.
  • Mentor Teacher who supervised you in elementary/secondary settings.
  • Other professional references related to teaching practice.
