Job description

Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, Net Revenue provides analysis and reports related to the net revenue accounting function. The senior level analyst serves as a subject matter expert, performing complex to highly complex analysis requiring a robust skill set.

This is a 100% remote position. Currently, we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Washington.

Reports to the Manager, Net Revenue. This role requires a high level of skills in Revenue Cycle analytics, more advanced than most financial analyst titles. It is intended for those performing functions related to Net Revenue and demonstrating the necessary skills and proficiency at this level.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Demonstrating strong proficiency in the Kodiak RCA (Revenue Cycle Analytics) System.
  2. Preparing A/R reserve calculations, including contractual allowances, bad debt, and charity for all assigned business units.
  3. Producing monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net accounts receivable.
  4. Analyzing payer performance.
  5. Providing various analyses and reports specific to Net Revenue performance.
  6. Preparing plan and forecast models for all assigned business units.
  7. Performing balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned business units and accounts.
  8. Managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively, and communicating risks and issues to managers promptly.
  9. Promoting the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and adhering to service behavior standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of accounting or finance experience requiring analytical and critical thinking.
  • Experience working with accounting systems, financial forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of healthcare, finance, or accounting experience.
  • Previous hospital net revenue experience.
  • CPA, Crowe/Kodiak Certified Net Revenue Analyst (CNRA) designation.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Werner, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, and Workday.
  • Knowledge of hospital reimbursement, statistical and variance analysis, revenue cycle, and SQL.

Physical and Location Details:

  • Location: Key Bank Tower, Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week.

The hourly rate ranges from $36.22 to $57.04, depending on experience.
