Base pay range

55,000.00 / yr - $75,000.00 / yr

We are seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle various accounting tasks, work with our primary accountant, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Monitoring and A / R Tracking : Monitor and code incoming client payments, assist in revenue tracking, record transactions, perform remote check deposits, initiate wire transfers and ACH payments, review and pay vendor invoices, create jobs and invoices, manage accounts receivable, maintain job cost sheets, prepare bank deposits, handle general ledger postings, reconcile expenses, and resolve discrepancies.
• Reporting and Compliance : Assist in compiling financial reports, follow GAAP standards and laws, and support management and personnel on financial matters.
• Employee Payroll and Office Tasks : Manage employee payroll onboarding, facilitate company insurance options, and assist the 401(k) administrator.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Preferred experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software, MRP systems like Sage Intacct.
• Minimum of 2 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
