Senior Business Analyst – Financial (Level 3)

March 10, 2026 (Initial 12-month term)
Project Duration:
12 months (with potential for 2 one-year extensions)

Hours per week: 36.25 hours

Job Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst – Financial will play a key role in the Clinical Information System (CIS) Consolidation Project, focusing on financial system analysis, business process documentation, data management, and application planning. The project involves transitioning from multiple standalone hospital information systems to a unified, standardized, and integrated Clinical Information Solution (CIS).
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to document business processes, facilitate workshops, conduct gap analysis, and support data archiving and financial module migration.
The candidate will work on steady-state and project-based efforts as required. Some after-hours or weekend work may be necessary with prior approval.
The language of work is English (French is an asset).
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
The candidate must meet the following mandatory requirements:
  1. M1: A Bachelor's level University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  2. M2: A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation.
  3. M3: 5 years of demonstrated financial system support experience with a focus on Canadian health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software.
  4. M4: 3 years of demonstrated Meditech financial suite experience including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing and Accounts Receivable, Materials management.
  5. M5: The candidate must be available to start work on or about the date specified in Section 8 of the SOW.
  6. M6: Submitted resumes must be 5 pages max, focus on the Scored Requirements (section 4) and Deliverables (section 11).
Scored Requirements:
  1. S1: A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation.
  2. S2: Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases.
  3. S3: Demonstrated experience leading and producing business analysis documentation (E.g., business requirements, patient journeys, functional specifications, process diagrams, requirements traceability, SOPs, test plans and test cases).
  4. S4: Demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.
  5. S5: Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.
  6. S6: Demonstrated experience with integration of financial and clinical information systems.
  7. S7: Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English is strongly preferred.
  8. S8: Previous experience working within New Brunswick's technology or healthcare environments showcasing a strong understanding of the local landscape, policies, and practices.

Additional Information:
  • The work location is a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site work in New Brunswick.
  • Travel within the province is expected, and pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed.
  • Remote contractors may need to visit the SNB office 1-3 times per year at their own expense.
  • SNB will provide necessary technology devices.
  • Overtime or weekend work may be required, subject to prior approval.
  • Compliance with SNB health and safety policies is mandatory.
Deliverables:
  1. Review and validate business requirements and technical current state documentation.
  2. Facilitate workshops to identify new requirements and validate existing ones.
  3. Conduct gap analysis and document business processes.
  4. Develop detailed process and solution documentation including workflows, integration diagrams, user guides, and training materials.
  5. Collaborate with technical teams to gather data, refine requirements, and plan system transitions.
  6. Ensure smooth delivery of the Clinical Information Solution (CIS) through effective stakeholder communication.
