Position Overview

General Summary: Responsible for handling teller transactions, providing operational support, cross-selling bank products/services, and resolving customer service issues. Process transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering a professional and exceptional customer experience. Open accounts and refer customers to other bank areas as appropriate. Follow regulations and security procedures to protect customers and minimize bank risk.

Essential Functions
Operations
  • Perform deposits and withdrawals.
  • Reconcile and balance the teller cash drawer.
  • Process outgoing wires.
  • Handle Safe Deposit box functions (entry, opening, maintenance).
  • Assist customers with problem resolution.
  • Assist in ATM balancing.
  • Detect and report fraudulent or suspicious activities, completing BSA reports as required.
New Accounts
  • Perform all procedures for opening new bank accounts/services.
  • Answer customer inquiries, recommend financial solutions, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain account information confidentiality.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to meet customer financial goals.
  • Provide personalized service, maintain contact, and foster relationships.
  • Coordinate with bank partners for referrals (e.g., Financial Advisors, Mortgage Loan Officers).
  • Support branch new business promotions.
Qualifications
  • College degree in business, accounting, finance, or related experience preferred.
  • 6-12 months of cash handling, customer service, or sales experience preferred; banking experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn about banking and assist others.
  • Proficient in PC use, data entry, and banking software; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with good note-taking and follow-up skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred.
  • Willing to commute as required.
Additional Details

Hourly pay: $18.00 - $21.00, based on experience and location. Potential eligibility for incentive compensation.
