The Senior Manager, RESL Portfolio Management & Analytics will monitor key risk performance of the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) portfolio, develop and enhance business intelligence tools, and provide actionable insights to Risk teams and product/business line partners. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent will leverage advanced data analytics to monitor portfolio health, ensure strategies align with Risk Appetite, and identify growth opportunities and areas needing attention.

The role involves working with multiple stakeholders to deliver analytical insights using tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, PowerBI, and Tableau. Responsibilities include analyzing portfolio and market trends, providing strategic risk assessments, supporting strategic initiatives, and moving towards prescriptive analytics. The incumbent will also support investigations related to OSFI findings and internal audits, ensuring alignment with the Risk Appetite Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize Business Intelligence tools to generate dynamic reports and optimize workstreams.
2. Research market trends and provide insights to inform credit risk decisions.
3. Proactively identify risk areas requiring attention and recommend mitigation strategies.
4. Explore advanced analytics and modeling to derive portfolio insights and streamline processes.
5. Support strategic initiatives and ensure compliance with risk policies.
6. Assist in investigations and liaise with relevant departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• University degree in STEM, Economics, Business, Data Science, or related fields.
• 5+ years of analytical experience, including statistical analysis.
• 2+ years in Credit Risk Management, with proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Real Estate Secured Lending products is a strong asset.
• Experience in retail credit risk management and banking industry preferred.
