This position involves performing on-site installation and maintenance of systems and equipment, including preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration under supervision. Responsibilities include managing resources and logistics for services on customer sites within Canada, contributing to the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of products, including all types of maintenance services and managing field services engineering.

As a Millwright, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing on-site life extension, repairs, and inspections, including machining, NDT, blading, winding, welding, and generator diagnostics.
  • Working with hydraulic tools, control fixtures, disassembling and reassembling machinery, rigging, and lifting.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and specifications in detail.
  • Ideally being certified or in the process of certification as an apprentice industrial mechanic (millwright).

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Possess a 2-year technical degree or related education and 4+ years of millwright experience in mechanics, mechatronics, or electromechanics.
  • Have 2+ years of experience with Baker Hughes or similar equipment, including site operation, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Be capable of working under pressure, making decisions, and being a team player.
  • Have knowledge of turbine generators and/or compressors, and strong skills in rotating equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Be certified or in the process of certification as an industrial mechanic (millwright).
  • Be willing to work on field service outages 60-70% of the time, including onshore and offshore projects within the Americas region.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be physically capable in a manufacturing environment.
