What the Ideal Candidate will do:

  • Provide technical expertise for the dimensional inspection of all customer's critical rotating parts and specialized custom tooling.
  • Inspect manufactured components using mechanical inspection tools and digital inspection equipment.
  • Plan inspection activities by reviewing work operation sheets, blueprints, customer drawings, etc.
  • Perform 1st article inspections per customer and AS9100 requirements.
  • Verify required paperwork.
  • Maintain and control log for non-conformances on purchased items and hold weekly Material Review Board meetings as required.
  • Review completed travelers and release parts to the customer or Designated Quality Control Representative.
  • Keep abreast of new developments relative to inspection and industry trends, as well as new systems and equipment.
  • Interface with other departments to schedule requirements and inspection details.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-8 years required of CMM Programming and Quality Inspection experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have manufacturing/machine shop environment experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment and practices.
  • GD&T/ANSI Y14.5 experience required.
  • Ability to interpret various customer drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 and AS9100 environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Good shop math skills and ability to read and write in English.
