What will be your daily pursuit?
The Facilities Maintenance role provides assistance for all maintenance-related requests associated with the Glacier Discovery Centre, Glacier View Lodge, Glacier Skywalk, and Icefield staff accommodation.

What will your compensation be?
The starting salary for this position is $21.00 per hour.

This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2025.

What will you do in this job?
- Performing daily maintenance checks
- Completing repairs within scope of experience/skill
- Following up on maintenance requests
- Participating in seasonal annual opening and closing procedures
- Booking and coordinating contractors
- Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
- Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Previous plumbing, electrical, building, and carpentry experience preferred
- Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted), required
- Standard First Aid Certification, required (or willing to obtain prior to beginning work)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties, required
- Proven ability to complete minor building repairs to proper building standards/codes
- Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and fully capable of working autonomously
- Employee and public relations skills and a friendly/cooperative nature
- Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
- High attention to detail
- Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both indoor and outdoor environments. Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
- Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
