The Manager, Food and Beverage is responsible for delivering the highest quality food and beverage offerings & conference experiences. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day operation in busy and dynamic environments that operate 365 days per year, including both indoor & outdoor venues, restaurant and bar outlets, a licensed Starbucks, and group conferences in our event spaces. The Manager ensures service strategy is executed and will coach and support their team members.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Inspire exceptional guest service in all Food and Beverage operations by executing outstanding and competitive standards for attention to detail, creativity, and passion for food service & conference offerings
- Coach and mentor employees to unite them around purpose and fun, creating a culture of productivity, high quality, accuracy, and revolutionary service experiences for our guests
- Select passionate and talented people and execute training and development to enable the team to provide revolutionary guest experiences
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned outlets, providing direction to supervisors and front-of-house staff, ensuring speed and quality of service from the kitchen
- Prepare and monitor annual, monthly, and daily budgets of the assigned business unit, review expenses and accounts payable to ensure maximum profitability. Approve invoices and expenses up to $5000.
- Oversee loss prevention and inventory count activities to minimize theft/shrinkage in liquor, wine, and draught beer
- Collaborate with the Director of F&B Services and Marketing to coordinate promotions that attract new business
- Book quality entertainment where required, manage entertainment contracts, and act as the main contact for entertainers on-site
- Set up food presentations and tasting reviews with the leadership team
- Lead seasonal and special event menu development in collaboration with the Director of Culinary and the Director of F&B Services, including menu writing, editing, and employee training. Act as wine consultant for Conference and Banquet Services; provide wine pairing consultations for events
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
- College or University training in hotel management and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience in Food Services
- Proven ability to maintain operation costs within acceptable levels
- Knowledge of Squirrel or similar Point of Sale System; Internet software; MS Office suite
- Formal leadership training is an asset
- Previous bar management experience, including liquor control and in-depth wine knowledge
- At least 1 year of kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant
