We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service/OSD Specialist who will play a crucial role in managing customer interactions and ensuring smooth operations. This position involves creating freight bills, processing orders and applications, updating forms and reports, and managing customer accounts. You will be responsible for obtaining and evaluating information to promptly resolve inquiries and complaints, directing requests to appropriate resources, and communicating with internal departments. Occasional extended hours may be required.
Responsibilities
Create freight bills accurately and efficiently.
Process orders, forms, applications, and requests with attention to detail.
Update forms and reports regularly to ensure accurate information.
Manage and maintain customer accounts.
Promptly resolve inquiries and complaints by obtaining and evaluating relevant information.
Direct unresolved issues to designated resources for further assistance.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments.
Follow up on customer interactions to ensure satisfaction.
Handle incoming telephone calls professionally.
Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative support.
Proficiency in basic data entry using Excel.
Experience with TruckMate and dispatch operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the trucking or transportation industry is preferred.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes chaotic environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
Work Environment
You will join a team of 6 administrative staff and 2 dispatchers, with another offsite terminal nearby. The work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position offers a vibrant and diverse working environment, and is an excellent opportunity for growth within a supportive trucking company. A bonus program is available upon permanent employment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $21.63/hr.
