A leading health authority in Victoria is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist. The role involves assessing and treating children's communication disorders, ensuring their well-being through a family-centered approach. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree and relevant experience, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement in quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or designate, and within the context of assigned team(s) with a family-centred philosophy, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children's communication disorders to promote their social, physical, and psychological well-being. Clinical guidance and instruction are available from the Senior Speech Language Pathologist.
Travel may be required for this position. Transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements and may involve the use of a personal vehicle, with a valid BC Driver's License.
