Job description

School District No. 22 is currently hiring a Meal Coordinator.

Position Summary

2.5 hours per week, 10-month position.

Responsibilities
  1. Sort lunches into division categories and ensure timely distribution to participants.
  2. Ensure health regulations are followed.
  3. Sort and store unused portions according to health regulations.
  4. Maintain the workplace according to health regulations.
  5. Supervise students, including explaining procedures to helpers/runners.
  6. Photocopy and distribute the monthly newsletter and program envelope to all students.
  7. Receive and securely keep all monies and signed envelopes.
  8. Create and maintain records of all program participants.
  9. Communicate with students, staff, and others as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 10 Education
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Previous experience preferred
Compensation and Schedule

Wage: $25.45/hour

Shift: Anticipated 7:20 am - 7:50 am; services not required on In-Service and Non-Instructional Days.

Additional Information

This is a unionized position (CUPE Local 5523). The hourly rate includes a percentage in lieu of vacation and statutory holiday pay.
