Job description

We are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer with a proven track record of leading robotics teams and delivering fully integrated robotic systems into production or industrial deployment. This role is both technical and strategic, combining hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will guide the development of advanced mobile robotics platforms, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), and ensure successful integration, commissioning, and delivery of these systems in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional robotics engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of mobile robotic systems—from concept design to on-site commissioning and post-deployment support.
  • Design and implement robotic architectures integrating multiple AGVs / AMRs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, automation, and software teams to deliver cohesive robotic solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Define project scope, success criteria, and minimum viable technical requirements, ensuring clear alignment with stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute system testing and validation, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Coordinate and support the deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic systems at customer sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating best practices in system design and development.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of system architecture, integration methods, and test plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical / mechanical engineering, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering a commercial or industrial robotic product, from prototype to deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in robot programming (e.g., C++, C#, Structured Text), and simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Webots).
  • Solid knowledge of sensor integration, motion control, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with CAD tools and rapid mechanical prototyping.
  • Ability to define requirements, manage priorities, and make sound architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and middleware for robotic control.
  • Familiarity with industrial PLCs (Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley) and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical wire routing, cable management, and mechanical design for mobile robotics.
  • Understanding of safety standards and risk assessments for AGV / AMR deployment.
  • Background in warehouse automation, logistics systems, or industrial robotics.
