Systems Administrator (Azure / Cybersecurity / Networking)

Status: Permanent Full Time
Location:

This is a hybrid position (4 days per week in office from 1 of our office locations below and 1 day remote).

Loblaw Location @ 1 President Choice Circle, Brampton ON.

Job brief

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our IT department. You’ll be primarily responsible for managing our cyber security posture and vulnerability management.

System Administrator responsibilities include configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot all core platforms including Azure Resources, MS 365, Active Directory, GPO’s, Firewalls and Network resources. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and strong hands-on experience across IT Infrastructure systems.

Ultimately, you will ensure our Azure environment, hardware, servers, platforms, and networks maintain a low vulnerability rating.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Install, Manage, Monitor and Troubleshoot vulnerabilities and threats found in Cortex and Qualys via Atera or MS Intune
  • Support end to end support of vulnerabilities and threats from detection to hands-on resolution.
  • Work with stakeholders to align to enterprise security policies & standards and stay abreast of current cyber security threats, risk and compliant/ regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the smooth deployment of new infrastructure and applications
  • Recommend ways to improve the security of IaaS / PaaS, and network components
  • Support Tier 3 technical issues and incident management resolution
  • Create and update technical documentation.

Role Specific Requirements:

  • Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of software including operating system, patches, vulnerability management, and 3rd party software
  • Configure, maintain and monitor vulnerability and threat scanning
  • Develop, Maintain, and Monitor all performance alarms, scheduled task and dashboard for vulnerability and threat found in the environment
  • Provide support and resolution for tier 3 technical issues
  • Methodically troubleshoot Infrastructure issues using a variety of monitoring tools (Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Palo Alto XSIAM, Qualys, Proofpoint, MS365 Purview, MS Intune, Atera)
  • Create and update all document processes and systems

Must have experience working with a wide range of applications including:

  • Azure Cloud Security
  • Palo Alto Cortex
  • Qualys
  • Proofpoint
  • Vulnerability and threat management
  • Hands-on experience with resolving vulnerability and threat
  • Email / Messaging solutions (Office 365, Exchange, External SMTP Relay)
  • MS 365 (Exchange, Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive)
  • File / Print servers
  • Active Directory/DNS
  • Create and Manage GPO’s
  • Experience in Scripting (PowerShell/JSON)
  • Microsoft IIS and SSL Certificates Management
  • MS SQL Server

Networking Administration:

  • Firewall configuration experience is a must (Meraki, Paloalto)
  • Understanding of Network topologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a LAN / WAN environment
  • Site to site/Client VPN deployment, configuration & maintenance

Requirements and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related work experience
  • Working experience as a System Administrator or in other similar roles.
  • Deep understanding of vulnerability and threat management and resolution.
  • Deep understanding of system security and networks
  • Team management skills and good communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • 4+ Years of Azure experience in a mid-size to enterprise environment
  • 4+ Years of experience in Cyber Security
  • 3+ Years working with Firewalls and Network appliances
  • 3+ Years working with Meraki and/or Palo Alto
