System Administrator Team Lead - Linux

Opportunity summary: As Lead Technician, Tech Svc Support, you will be responsible for providing technical support for assigned corporate account(s) and offering your plants technical expertise, field support, and troubleshooting and analysis to address any machinery and/or operational issues. You will collaborate with top shop and back shop customers and WestRock employees at various organizational levels to achieve optimal customer satisfaction. In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert responsible for educating the customer on WestRock capabilities to improve their operational efficiency and overall customer relationship.

How you will impact WestRock

• Identify and recommend solutions to resolve product or service requests regarding technical, operational and engineering type of issues that our customers and WestRock production facilities may encounter.
• Coordinate new customer specification development and specification maintenance utilizing supply chain data.
• Conduct scope audits to evaluate customer’s back shop current state and identify operational inefficiencies and cost saving opportunities.
• Create contribution reports that verify savings or operational improvement solutions and leverage the report documents daily to help customers understand WestRock’s value and capabilities.
• Maintenance technicians must be able to work independently as well as in a team and be self-motivated.
• They are responsible for completing speedy and effective maintenance during plant downtimes and willing to work overtime and possible weekends.
• They are expected to meet response time parameters for repair types, including ensuring that high priority work is completed first.
• Maintenance technicians ensure that assigned vehicles are appropriately stocked with parts and tools as needed to perform repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Interpersonal skills are required to clearly communicate with other employees and build relationships with employees, supervisors/managers, and customers.
• Knowledge: Maintenance technicians must possess basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components; basic computer knowledge, ability to read blueprints, PLC, and schematics, and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.
• Manage both internal and external customer relationships, providing value-added sales and service support solutions.
• Provide consultation and training to customers to educate them on various areas of corrugated packaging capabilities.

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum 5 years in corrugated manufacturing packaging industry; machinery/operational experience.
• Possess computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of wraparound case packers, case erectors, tray formers and mandrel forming equipment.
• Ability to keep accurate records and present contribution reports to quantify the WestRock value to our customers.
• Working knowledge of the technical aspects of paper manufacturing, corrugation/conversion, and supply chain considerations.
• Knowledge of packaging machines and how they operate with corrugated machinery.
• Demonstrated technical and mechanical acumen.
• Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate with customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction and operate with customers' best interests in mind.
• Ability to cooperate in both interpersonal and team relationships to foster enthusiasm and maintain mutual trust, candor, and respect for others.

The salary range for this position is $62,250.00 - $103,750.00, depending on your role, level, and location.
