Job description

Location: Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Longlac

SNCDSB is seeking an individual with:

1. Knowledge of Google Apps for Education;
2. Strategic decision-making and problem-solving skills;
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative;
4. The ability to build a collaborative and professional culture.

Required Qualifications / Experience:

1. Completion of / or working towards Part 1 & 2 of the Principal’s Qualification Program;
2. Completion of / or willingness to obtain Religious Education Specialist certification;
3. Special Education Part 1 or the Special Education for Administrators AQ Course and relevant experience are assets;
4. Math qualifications and experience are assets;
5. Experience and qualifications in Primary / Junior / Intermediate levels;
6. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.

Desired Qualifications / Experience:

1. Strong humanitarian and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team, motivate others, and build Catholic learning communities of faith;
2. Understanding of Catholic Education and Indigenous Education;
3. A strategic problem solver and systems thinker capable of handling complex problems and managing stress effectively;
4. Knowledge of best practices in instructional strategies, assessment, evaluation, and improving student achievement;
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills;
6. Principal and/or Vice Principal experience is an asset;
7. Experience working with Indigenous students, families, and communities is an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

1. Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (OCT);
2. Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening check.
