Job description

Additional Information
  1. Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified before the start date.
  2. External applicants will need to provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references, including full name, title, work location, and email. References are not contacted before practicum or interview.
  3. Internal applicants should include all previous teaching experiences and two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
  4. All applicants must provide a satisfactory police record check, including a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, completed within six months prior to the start date.
Examples of Referees
  • Principal or Vice-Principal familiar with your teaching practice.
  • Faculty or Practicum Advisor who observed your teaching.
  • Mentor Teacher from elementary or secondary settings.
  • Other professional references speaking to your teaching practice.
