Job description

Job Overview : Insight Global is seeking a RF Engineer, (Payload Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer) to join the Satellite Systems team at a leading Canadian Robotics, Satellite Systems, and Geointelligence company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for advanced telecommunication satellites during both payload and spacecraft integration stages.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review test plans and system requirements, assess feasibility, and propose efficient implementation strategies.
  • Design, implement, commission, and maintain RF and Electrical System EGSE.
  • Operationalize EGSE for high-volume production.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Supervise testing activities as needed.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in test station design and implementation for electronics in one of the following fields : digital, analog, power, or RF electronics.
  • Experience in testing electronic systems, ideally related to communications payloads.
  • Extensive experience with laboratory instrumentation such as network analyzers, high sampling oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and modems.
